Hello Rancho Fans -
There is no lull before the BBQ season this year. First of all, Easter on April Fool’s Day brought out well over 500 folks for our annual buffet on an absolutely gorgeous day in the valley. It was great to visit with many of you.The multi-generations in attendance is always special. We look forward to more of this on MOTHERS DAY next month.

But the rest of April needs to be addressed first! A very special night for me is BILL CHAMPLIN’s WUNDERGROUND debut. Bill is arguably the most talented musician to ever come out of Marin County, if not the whole Bay Area. After battling serious health issues over 18 months, he comes up with a new project, CD, and discovers Rock & Roll! He sent me the new music and I am attaching two of my favorites for a sneak preview. See links below. This party will be on SATURDAY, April 21st.

It’s been two years since another old friend of mine, MARIA MULDAUR, has headlined our Rancho Room. Though she is a frequent and welcomed visitor, as recently as this past Easter Brunch, this venerable diva has recorded over 40 CDs of her own and is still constantly touring the country. I first met her the week she was on the cover of the Rolling Stone with her hit Midnight at the Oasis, when my guys PABLO CRUISE were opening for her at THE COCONUT GROVE in Santa Cruz! SATURDAY NIGHT, April 28th.

We have the pleasure of presenting TIM WEED in a rare Marin County appearance on SUNDAY, April 22. Tim is a multi-instrumentalist, a renown banjo virtuoso and wonderful singer-songwriter. This will be an early 5pm show. Dinner available of course.

JOHNNY ALLAIR is celebrating yet another birthday with us on SUNDAY, April 15th. He promised to help out with your tax returns between LITTLE RICHARD and FATS DOMINO tunes as well. Another early 5pm show.

A late addition came when Angela got a call out of nowhere, well actually from Austin, Texas, from AL STAEHELY,
pronounced STA-HALEY. He was a member a member of the legendary band SPIRIT a few decades ago. But he and his brother JOHN had success as THE STAEHELY BROTHERS. This is more than a rare appearance! Should be an interesting evening in the BAR on
FRIDAY NIGHT, April 20th. No Cover.

And don’t miss CHUCK PROPHET and the MISSION EXPRESS this Saturday night, and our local guitar slinger via Indiana and Texas,
DANNY CLICK next weekend, Saturday, April 14th.

A busy April for sure.
Pick one out and have some fun with us.
Enough for now. I’ll have a BBQ update in next letter.

Hasta Pronto,
